Gary C. Stafford, Jr. (GJ) age 51, of Smithfield PA, passed away Thursday, July 17, 2025 in his home. He was born in Morgantown, WV on August 9, 1973. He is the son of the late Gary Stafford, Sr. and Nancy Jane Kennison Stafford.

Gary graduated from Albert Gallatin High School and attended Penn State University. He worked in security for many years. He enjoyed playing baseball and basketball as a child and softball as an adult. He also was known for coaching local softball teams. Gary was a huge Star Wars fan, with Boba Fett being his favorite character. Gary was known for his friendliness, kind heart and true love for his family, friends and four legged furry "kids".

Left to cherish Gary's memory are many loving family members, friends and his cat, Lila.

The family would like to thank the physicians, Fayette EMS and WVU Hospitals who all provided excellent care for Gary numerous times.

Arrangement has been entrusted to the FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY OF SMITHFIELD, 78 Main Street, Smithfield, PA. A memorial service celebrating Gary's life will be held at a later date.

Gary's family kindly requests and would sincerely be appreciated in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Ferguson Funeral Home.
