Joyce Poremba Obituary

Joyce was a 1972 graduate of Laurel Highlands High School. She worked as a licensed practical nurse for many years before retirement. Joyce was a member of the Anchor Fellowship Church.
Left to cherish Joyce's memory are her loving husband, Andrew R. Poremba, Jr.; a son, Douglas Poundstone of Pittsburgh; a daughter, Amy Kish and husband Todd of Adah, PA; step-children, Jullian Poremba of Pittsburgh and Andrea Poremba of Derry, PA; brothers, Jerry Lasko, Frank Lasko both of Uniontown and Ed Lasko and sister, Joanne Stump both of Middletown, DE
Arrangements have been entrusted to the FERGUSON-BROWNFIELD FUNERAL HOME, 78 Main St., Smithfield, PA. In accordance with Joyces' wishes, services will be private for the family.

To the family and friends of Joyce Lasko Poremba... Just wanted to say that we will be praying for you over your loss . Joyce is at peace . I know I can speak from all of your friends and neighbors from Uledi ( Revere) we will always remember Joycie (that is what we called her ) when the Lasko family lived on 5th Avenue in the patch . Joycie made friends with everyone (Tony Crews , Jake Glover, Joey Capozzi ) and all of us kids that would get together and play ball by the Baptist Church on the back side of the patch . She along with Sandy Shipley would join in the pick-up games. Joycie and Sandy were pretty athletic as I remember. Some of my best memories are Tony Crews and I sitting on the many steps on the back side of the Lasko side of the house and just talking with Joycie . My regret is that I never got a chance to just say hi to an old friend who was always smiling and kind to me . May she rest in peace
