Gary Lee Stephens age 82 of Cedar Springs, died Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at Corewell Health Butterworth Hospital. He was born October 20, 1943 in Grand Rapids, the son of Arlie and Marjorie (Mulder) Stephens. Gary was a member of the Church of the Full Gospel in Sand Lake and loved Jesus. He enjoyed speed; racing snowmobiles, cars and watching NASCAR. Gary liked to spend time outdoors hunting and fishing. He loved to spend time with his high school friends, especially time spent with Harry Bigler in the garage. Most of all, he cherished the moments he spent with his grandchildren and family.
Gary is survived by his sons, Mark (Wendy) Stephens, Matt (Shanda) Stephens; stepchildren, Erin Allen, Ray Sutliffe; 12 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Marsha Stephens; and stepson, Gregory Williams.
A graveside service will be held at Langston Cemetery in the spring of 2026.
