Gary Steven Eugene Hutchins

Gary Steven Eugene Hutchins, 71, of Clifford, passed away on Monday, July 7, 2025 at his home.
Gary was born on March 18, 1954 to Owen and Lavonna (Williams) Hutchins, in Sandusky, Michigan. Gary attended Marlette High School and graduated with the class of 1972. Gary enlisted with the United States Army in 1974 and served his country until 1980. In 1993, he married Denise Burkel in Caro, Michigan. Gary was a man who found joy in life's simple pleasures. He loved spending time outdoors, especially spending time riding on his tractor. A loyal NASCAR fan, Gary rarely missed a race on tv and could often be found cheering on his favorite drivers with great enthusiasm. But his greatest joy came from the time he spent with his beloved wife, as they frequently enjoyed taking long rides in the car together.
Gary is survived by his wife, Denise Hutchins; daughter, Marcy Hutchins; son, Gary Steven Eugene Hutchins; stepdaughter, Krysta Schniers; granddaughter, Alana Marie Damm; brother, Edwin Teddy; half sisters, Lavonna Teddy, Sheila Herbert and Kathy Mathiews; and several nieces and nephews.
Gary was preceded in death by his stepchildren, Gena Giddings, Jon Giddings; parents, Owen and Lavonna (Williams) Hutchins; and brothers, Paul Teddy and Tracy Teddy.
The family will receive visitors from 11-1 PM on Wednesday, July 16, 2025 at Marsh Funeral Chapel in Marlette.
A funeral service will be held at 1 PM on Wednesday, July 16, 2025 at Marsh Funeral Chapel in Marlette with burial following immediately after in Siple Cemetery in Clifford.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family discretionary fund in care of Denise Hutchins.
