Gary P. Stott, 59, of Carlisle, IN passed away November 30, 2024. He was born in Duluth, MN to Pete and Janice (Lonetree) Stott on March 22, 1965. Gary was then adopted by Mary and Paul Ed Alvis and moved to Princeton, IN. He attended Princeton High School and graduated in 1984. Gary began his career of 40 years as a laborer with Orion Factory and continued with FIA upon the closing of the Orion Factory. Gary married the love of his life, Sally, on April 2, 1999. Gary was an avid fan of Kiss and enjoyed listening to their music. He also enjoyed watching the Chicago Bears, westerns, and black and white films. When he wasn't enjoying his shows he was outside doing yard work, taking care of his pool, and tending to his vegetable garden. Gary loved to entertain and spend time with his family and spoil his wife, Sally. He will be deeply missed.
Gary was preceded in death by his biological father Pete Stott; adoptive parents Mary and Paul Ed Alvis; and sister Paula Doan.
He is survived by his wife, of 25 years, Sally Stott; children Max (Arial) James and Sepehara (Jake Baxter) James; grandchildren Deavany Books, Clinton Hamilton, Jep Hamilton, Arlo James; 12 biological siblings; siblings Paul Mike Alvis, Janice Byruns, and Karen Alvis.
Goodwin-Sievers is honored to be entrusted with the care of Mr. Stott. Visitation will be held December 14, 2024, at 524 Broadway St. from 1-4 pm.
