Gary Trinque Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc. on Jun. 5, 2024.
Gary Trinque, of Union, CT, treasured husband, father, and grandfather, passed away suddenly in a tragic accident two days after his 66th birthday on May 31, 2024 while working at his favorite place, his beloved New Hampshire cabin.
Gary leaves behind his loving wife of 40 years, Pamela (Mangold), his children, Jesse and Rachel Trinque, Sara and Jonathan Avery, Katie and Dustin Peirolo, along with his 9 grandchildren; Eva, Ivy and Louis Trinque; Jace, Lucy, and Clay Avery; Daniel, Sally, and Oliver Gary Peirolo. He also leaves his siblings Linda Merrill (Timothy), Debra Mitchell (Dale), Brenda Lanata (David), James Trinque (Launa) and their families. He leaves behind Pamela's siblings, who were very special to him as well, Nancy Zahner (Scott), Mary Evans (John), Edward Mangold (Terry), Luann Hoffman (Michael), Dorothy Veins (Steven), all of Ellington, CT. He is survived by his two living uncles, Donald (Donny) Trinque and Leonard (Joe) Trinque. Uncle Joe and Gary built a particularly strong bond over their mutual love of fishing and similar insatiable work ethic. He had a large extended family including many special nieces and nephews, and cousins who were all an important part of his very full life. Gary made a huge impact on everyone he knew and as a result, he had an extensive circle of friends who he treated as family.
He was predeceased by his adored parents, Louis and Alice Trinque of Union, CT and his cherished in-laws, Clarence and Martha Mangold of Ellington, CT. He was also predeceased by his uncle Robert (Bobby) Trinque and his two life-long friends, Mark Gallison and Douglas Gottier.
Gary was loved, admired and respected by all. He lived his life unapologetically and never hesitated to drop everything and lend a helping hand. He was knowledgeable in so many aspects of life and his family and friends could count on him to fix or find a solution to anything and everything. He was a carpenter by trade, but his talents and wisdom far exceeded his vocation. He was a doting Grampy, his grandchildren were his pride and joy, and he enjoyed a special bond with each and every one of them. He was responsible for creating a lifetime of special memories that will never be forgotten. He was an extremely patient man who devoted his life to making other people's lives richer. He loved his weekly family dinners, vacationing with his friends and family and playing with the kids. He loved fishing, snowmobiling, and will be remembered for the annual Mangold 4th of July celebration complete with an unforgettable firework display on Diamond Pond. Above all else, he loved being with his Pammy Poo.
All are welcome to join his family for calling hours at Longview Fellowship Center, 34 Middle Butcher Rd, Ellington, CT on Sunday, June 9, 2024 from 3-9 PM. Funeral services will be held at the Apostolic Christian Church, 34 Middle Butcher Rd, Ellington, CT on Monday, June 10, 2024 at 10:30 AM, immediately following the service all are welcome for a meal and a time of remembrance.
