Gary D. Williams, 70, of Columbia, MO, passed away on Sunday, December 21, 2025, at his home. Services will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at 12:00 pm at St. Luke United Methodist Church in Columbia. Visitation will be held from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at the church.

Gary Darnell Williams (Flip) was born April 13, 1955, in Columbia, Missouri. The son of Raymond Williams and Minnie West. A native Columbian, he remained close to home throughout his life. Gary attended Columbia Public Schools and was a God-fearing man.

Gary worked for several companies until his passing: JP Cleaning Services, Turner Janitorial, Atkins and Working Hard Moving Company. Gary provided service to anyone who needed a helping hand, he had a big heart, he never came into contact with anyone without putting a smile on their faces. His energy was well received, Flips hobbies were working with his hands. Gary was a very good painter, car detailer and always up for the job, he also loved taking care of his dog C Note.

Gary enjoyed spending time with family and friends, he was always the life of the party; he enjoyed drinking Pepsi and scratching lottery tickets. He had two people that he loved like they were his children: Christopher Turner and Mesha Stapleton.

He is survived by two brothers: David Williams and Harland Williams, a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and a special niece Dana Simmons.

He was preceded in death by both parents, three sisters: Pamela Williams, Linda McDonald and Diana Tapp, three brothers: Henry Wright, William Williams and Jimmy Lee Williams, and four nieces and nephews.
