George Carter Obituary
George Turner Carter III, 50, of Columbia, Missouri passed away on January 29th, 2026. His passing leaves a space that could never be filled, but his love, laughter and spirit will live on in everyone who knew him. George was a devoted father, partner, son and friend.
He is survived by his wife Tia Ken, his children Kaleb Carter, Bryce Carter, Perissya Prach and Jeelina Taing, his parents Elaine Fonville (John Fonville), sisters Alicia Fonville, Nicki St. Cyr, Tania St. Cyr, Tahi St. Cyr, Meeka St. Cyr, brother Lee Jones, and grandchildren Aliyah Neal, Arian Neal and Kyren Carter.
He was preceded in death by his father George Carter Jr.
His family was his pride and the love he had for them was strong, steady and unconditional. Professionally George was a respectful quality tech leader at Columbia Foods Kraft Heinz, where he was known for his hard work, leadership and the way he treated everyone with fairness and respect. He believed in doing things the right way and carried the same integrity into every part of his life outside of work.
George loved basketball, music and bringing joy into any room he walked into. He had a gift for being the goofiest guy in the room, always ready with a joke, a laugh or a moment of light when people needed it most; his humor was contagious but so was his kindness. He was known for always doing people right and standing by those he cared about. George's presence made his life brighter, louder and more meaningful, though he is gone far too soon. The memories he gave his family will be cherished forever. He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
