A sweet, wonderful man passed away on December 11, 2025, at his residence and no one is quite sure how we’ll get along without him.
81 years old, Gary Wilson was a husband, brother, father, uncle, stepfather, grandfather, great-grandfather, an avid golfer and bowler, and friend to many.
He grew up on the late Dennis and Pauline (Briggs) Wilson’s farm in Harford, NY and later worked as a machinist for Emerson Power Transmission in Ithaca, NY.
Gary is survived by his wife Mary; his brother, Dick (Glenda) Wilson and their children; Joe, Debra, Jeff, and Larry; his 2 sisters, Sharon (Andy- deceased) Juhasz, and Sandra (Jennie) Venier; his daughter, Jodi (Michael) Emmart of Auburn, NY, their children, Samantha (Adam) Current, and their children Gordon and Melody, Dominic Emmart, Regina (Jonathan) Durbin, Michael Emmart Jr., Lucia Emmart, and John Emmart; his son, Jason Wilson of Ithaca, NY, and children, Zoë A. (Atticus Jones) Wilson of Ithaca, NY, and Phoebe M. Wilson of Nevada; his stepdaughter, Anna Regula and her children, Wallace (Alanna) Haverlock and daughter Rosalie, Harrison (Lindsay) Haverlock, Braden Haverlock, and Georgia Haverlock.
Private burial services at Green Hills Cemetery in Dryden, NY will be held at the convenience of the family in the Spring.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Dryden Ambulance Service, Dryden Kitchen Cupboard, Dryden Community Center, or St. Judes Children’s Research Center.
