Gary Randall Winters

Walkertown- Mr. Gary Randall Winters, 63, passed away Monday, August 22, 2022, at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. He was born September 30, 1958, in Mitchell County, the son of Bobby Ray and Lola Grindstaff Winters. He was of the Baptist Faith and was retired from Thomasville Furniture Industries after 25 years of service. Gary loved sports and enjoyed both watching and playing them. A devoted husband, father and grandfather; he loved to make people laugh and was a great storyteller. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Fleta Sue Whitson. Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Shelby Walls Winters; three daughters, Angela Burke (Chad) of Winston-Salem, Marsha Mabe (Oscar) of Walkertown and Amber Winters of Quaker Gap; a brother, Kenneth Winters of Spruce Pine; five grandchildren, Kaylee Mabe, Charlie Burke, Mikey Burke, Sarah Burke and Eli Solano and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Services will be private. Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel is assisting the family.
