BELPRE—Gary Lynn Witte, 79, of Belpre, OH, passed away Friday, Sept. 19, 2025, at Arcadia Nursing Center in Coolville, OH.
He was born March 8, 1946, in Parkersburg, WV, son of the late Lynn Ralph and Pearl Lenore Scott Witte. Gary was a 1965 graduate of Walton High School, a U.S. Air Force Veteran and attended Father’s House Church in Belpre. He was a lifetime member of I.U.O.E Local 132 in Charleston, WV, a 30 plus year member of the Little Hocking Fire Department and a member of the Little Hocking Bass Club. Gary was also a member of the Coolville Masonic Lodge 332 F&AM, the Worthington Colf Course Senior League, the American Legion and the Little Hocking Jaycee’s.
Gary is survived by his wife Ruthie Walker Witte; sisters, Sharon Ciulla and Vicki (Jimmy) Squires; 2 sons, Dale (Molly) Witte and Darren (Tiffini) Witte; daughter, Brandee (Tyler) Bolden; 8 grandchildren, Madeline (Ramah)Omer, Lewis Witte, Thomas Witte, Hallie Witte, Cordell Lonas and girlfriend Haylie, Grace Bolden, Mattee Bolden and Benjamin Bolden and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lynn Ralph and Pearl Lenore Scott Witte.
Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M., Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2025, at White Funeral Home in Coolville, OH, with Pastor Wayne Vogelsong officiating. Burial will be in the Bethel Cemetery, where military services will be conducted.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home Monday, from 5-8 P.M. Masonic services conducted by the Coolville Masonic Lodge 332 F&AM, will be held at 8 P.M.
