Gary Wu, 77, passed away Saturday, February 10, 2024.
He is survived by: his wife, Jenny; his children, Michael Wu, Kevin Wu, and Christina Wu; and his grandchildren, Brianna, Chelsey, Jaylen, Jason, and Brandon.
Gary Wu was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He was the youngest of five children with three older brothers and a sister. Back in China, he was a farmer who grew vegetables and rice. He was also the village treasurer. He worked with his hands and became a jack of all trades. He worked as a chef at the "House of Chen" Chinese restaurant formerly on Dixie Hwy. He loved cooking all kinds of delicious dishes with rice, meat, and vegetables -- but "not too much salt," he'd say. After a long day of cooking, he enjoyed relaxing at home and getting massages. He was passionate about teaching everything he knew to anyone who would listen. He loved doing his Tai Chi exercises and showing people how to live, and be, healthier. He was a kind-hearted and loving person. He loved to laugh, especially when his grandkids joked with him. He is loved by so many people, and his legacy will continue in the hearts of all who knew him.
His Celebration of Life will be 12:30 P.M. Friday, February 16, 2024 at Ratterman Southwest, 4832 Cane Run Rd. with burial in Louisville Memorial West Cemetery. Visitation will be 9 A.M. until the time of service.

Micheal, Kevin and Christina, Lee and I was so sorry to hear about your Dad passing. Know that we will be thinking of you and your family in this time of mourning. I remember the great food at Chen´s and always wanted the recipe of the War Su Gai. He c was such a hard worker. I know you will miss him.
