Gaspar Procida Obituary

Published by Legacy on Feb. 21, 2025.
Procida, Gaspar, 93, lifelong Farmingdale resident, passed away February 21, 2025. Beloved husband of 71 years of Isabella. Loving father of Stephen (Linda), Gary (Barbara), Peggy Cregan (Michael), and Frank (Lisa). Cherished grandfather of Joseph, Michelle, Gaspar, Krystal, Thomas, Frank, Isabella, and Antonio, and great-grandfather of Gabriella. Predeceased by his siblings Jennie, Antoinette, Albert, and Frank. Proud barber and former owner of Sanitary Barbershop, Bethpage, for over 6o years. Gaspar was a quiet, kind, loving man who never had a bad thing to say about anyone and always saw the good in everyone. In his free time, he enjoyed watching the Yankees and Giants, gambling, horse racing, barbecuing in his backyard, swimming in his pool, and his occasional cigar. Gaspar had a barber chair in his basement where he cut everyone in his family's hair, the local neighborhood kids hair, and the local baseball and football teams hair. His family meant the absolute world to him and he loved spending every moment he could with them. Gaspar always looked forward to Sunday dinners together for pasta and meatballs, when the whole family got together. He will be forever missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. The family will receive visitors Sunday, February 23rd, 2-4 & 7-9 pm at Arthur F. White Funeral Home, Inc., 315 Conklin Street, Farmingdale. Funeral Mass Monday, February 24th, 9:45 am at St. Kilian RC Church, Farmingdale. Interment following at Pinelawn Memorial Park.
