Gavin G'fellers Obituary
Born on April 27, 2005, Gavin was an exceptionally bright and thoughtful young man whose kindness touched everyone he met. He had a sharp mind and a passion for online gaming, where he spent countless hours laughing, strategizing, and having fun with his friends. Gavin took great pride in being the best at anything he did.
Above all, Gavin was known for his gentle heart. He was the kind of person who listened without judgment, offered help without being asked, and made those around him feel truly seen and valued.
He is survived by his loving parents Scott and Amanda G'fellers, brothers Chase G'fellers, Josh & Nicole Cutshaw, Jacob & Sydney Cutshaw, sister Carli Hamby, grandparents Charles and Judy G'fellers, Lynda Shanks, Wilfred Hensley, special aunts & uncle Johnnie Bitner and Wyndi & Jeremy Snapp, special cousins Macey Snapp & Marissa Snapp, many other aunts, uncles , cousins, and a wide circle of friends who will miss him deeply.
He is preceded in death by his mother Christy Shanks, grandparents Jimmy Shanks and Marian Hensley.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1-3 and 5-7 PM Wednesday at Jeffers Funeral Chapel at Afton. The funeral service will follow visitation at 7:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Rev. John Buchanan officiating. Graveside services will be Thursday in Cedar Grove Cemetery on Thursday at 12:00. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home Thursday at 11:00 AM to go in procession to the cemetery. Cameron Belt, Ethan Wagers, Ethan Grindstaff, Mason Dickenson, Jacob Cutshaw, and Chase G'fellers will serve as pallbearers. Josh Cutshaw and TJ Bitner will serve as honorary pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests considering a random act of kindness in Gavin's memory or a donation to an organization supporting mental health awareness. Gavin's light burned brightly in his twenty short years, and he will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him. He was loved beyond measure and will never be forgotten.
