Gavin Hansen Peterson, forever 12 years old, passed away on July 9, 2024.
Gavin was born on January 5, 2012 to Melanie Peterson and Shane Peterson in Ogden, Utah.
He was such a happy boy with a contagious smile who loved his family. Gavin was intelligent, funny and kind with a curious nature who enjoyed science and learning about the solar system. His favorite color was blue, and he liked Pokémon, and the Nintendo Switch.
He is survived by his mom and dad, brothers Tyler and Coleson, and sister Mayloni.
Gavin was a bright spark and was destined to be a huge personality, even though his time on earth was cut tragically short. Although we will miss him, he will forever remain in our hearts.
The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the first responders, and the doctors and nurses at McKay Dee Hospital who did all they could to save Gavin.
The Gavin Peterson Funeral Fund has been set up at America First Credit Union, as well as a GoFundMe account to assist the family with funeral expenses during this difficult time.
