Gayil Ann (Tallman) Calhoun, age 89, of Rogersville, Missouri, passed away on July 11, 2025, in Rogersville. She was born on April 26, 1936, in Los Angeles, California, to Harley S. Tallman and Charlotte (Dunn) Tallman.

Gayil graduated from Rogersville High School and went on to attend St. John's School of Nursing, where she became a registered nurse. In 1957, she married Clarence William "Bill" Calhoun. Gayil devoted her professional life to nursing, working until the age of 65. She spent many years at the Women's Clinic in Springfield, where she worked alongside many dedicated doctors and nurses and provided compassionate care to countless patients.

Gayil enjoyed traveling, attending church, and spending time with her family, all of which were important parts of her life.

Gayil is survived by two daughters, Valerie (Calhoun) Willis and husband Ron, and Valinda (Calhoun) Bradley and husband Kevin, all of Rogersville; three grandsons, Zacherey Willis (Samantha Marques-Mordkofsky) of Maryland, Codey Willis (Mackenzie Willis) of Strafford, and Corbin Bradley of Rogersville; and two great-granddaughters, Elaina Willis and Charlotte Willis of Strafford. She is also survived by three nephews, Dan Barnard (Mary Barnard), Larry Barnard, and Tim Williams (Patty Williams).

Gayil was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence William "Bill" Calhoun; her parents, Harley and Charlotte Tallman; and her siblings, Donald Tallman, Joyce Barnard, and Janet Williams.

A private family remembrance will be held at a later date.
