Gayle Blansit LeCompte

LECOMPTE---Mrs. Gayle Blansit LeCompte, age 75 of Jacksonville, FL passed away on October 7, 2025. Gayle was born on November 19, 1949 in Coco Solo, Panama Canal, the daughter of Calvin Leroy Blansit and Ester Bernice Prynn Blansit.
In addition to her parents, Gayle was predeceased by her son Robert LeCompte; her brother Joe Blansit; and her mother and father in law, Frenchy and Jean LeCompte. She is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, David P. LeCompte; her daughter Nickie LeCompte; granddaughter Brittany Brunet; and her brother in law Ronnie LeCompte and his family.
Gayle is remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend and for her devotion for raising her family. She was a gifted artist and published illustrator, talented gardener and licensed cosmetician for over 40 years. Gayle was a member of the Fleet Reserve Unit 126 for over 47 years.
Funeral services in celebration of her life will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday October 16, 2025 in the chapel of Jacksonville Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 111 Blanding Blvd., Orange Park, FL with Rev. Ronnie Fowler officiating. Gayle will be laid to rest in the Garden of Devotion at Jacksonville Memory Gardens following the service. Family members and friends will gather for visitation on Wednesday evening from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
