Gayle Lynn Raymond

Gayle Lynn Raymond, 69, of Climax, Michigan, passed away on Monday, November 24, 2025 at Rose Arbor Hospice in Kalamazoo, MI. She was born on March 23, 1956, in Marshall, Michigan, the daughter of Gailen L. Briegel and Geraldine F. (VanZant) Briegel.

Gayle graduated from Pennfield High School with the Class of 1974. She married the love of her life, Gary Raymond on November 1, 1975, recently celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. Gayle worked for TransAmerica for her entire 34 year insurance career and made many friends and acquaintances through her job.

Gayle is survived by her husband, Gary Raymond; daughter, Terri (Danielle) Raymond; beloved fur companions, Cheeko, and Levi; grandchildren, Taylor (Tyler), Samantha. Dylan; great grandchildren, Kaleb, Ainsley, Ryder, Alivia; brothers, Brian (Billie) Briegel, Bruce Briegel, Brent Briegel; sisters-in-law, Rhonda (Jimmy) Hendricks, JoAnn Raymond; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Gailen and Geraldine Briegel.

Gayle was an avid reader and dedicated Detroit Lions fan. She devoted herself to her family and was always in attendance at sporting events of her daughter and grandchildren. Gayle enjoyed "The Birthday Group" and their monthly birthday dinners that she always provided blueberries for. She and Gary loved to travel and go on cruises, seeing different states and landmarks was a passion for both of them. Gayle will be greatly missed by all those that knew and loved her.

Visitation will be held at the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service on Friday, December 5, 2025 from 4:00 - 6:00 pm.
