Gayle Leslie - Harbin Skinner, age 70, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 11, 2024, surrounded by her loving family at Bavarian Comfort Care.

Gayle was born in Flint, Michigan, on December 13, 1953, to the late William & the late Doris (née Marks) Harbin. She was raised alongside her sisters Opal and Louann in Swartz Creek and was a 1972 graduate of Swartz Creek High School. Before retirement, Gayle worked with the Michigan Secretary of State, owned an antique shop, and worked with General Motors as a machinist. On March 17, 1994, she married Aaron M. Skinner and together they shared 30 years of marriage. She was an avid gardener and loved to tend to her flower beds. Gifted with an “eye for design”, Gayle enjoyed decorating her home and was quite artistic. She also enjoyed time spent camping and being with her friends and family. Gayle was also a member of the Onaway VFW #5857 Honor Guard.

She is survived by her husband, Aaron M. Skinner; children: Tara P. Sinnott, Shawn (Ashley Presley) Sinnott, Amanda (Blair) Turner, Aaron C. (Angel Shaw) Skinner,  grandchildren: Dakota, Nevada, Jillian, Megan, Jackson, Finn, Atlas, Elliana; two great-grandchildren; two sisters Opal and Louann; as well as several nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Services for Gayle will be held at Hanlin Funeral Home in Millington at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, April 16, 2024; visitation from 11 a.m. until the time of service.

Donations may be directed to the Greater Michigan Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association (https://www.alz.org/gmc/donate).

The family would like to extend their special thanks to Gayle’s sister Opal Harbin, sisters-in-law, Roberta Saale and Deborah Burns, for their compassionate care of Gayle.
