Gene Collins Obituary
Gray Court
Erskine Eugene "Gene" Collins, age 65, of Gray Court, passed away on Sunday, June 30, 2024, at Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital.
Born in Laurens, he was a son of the late Charles William Collins and Ruby Irene Morgan Vincent. Gene worked with Charter Communications for years.
Surviving are his children, Karen Jackson (Julian), James Collins, Nathaniel Collins (Kayla), and Joshua Collins, all of Gray Court; sister, Vickie Knox of Woodruff; and grandchildren, Madeline, William, Raiven, Isabella, Draike, Grayson, Christopher, Mary, Jayce, Ansley, Willow Rose, and Emrys.
In addition to his parents, Gene was predeceased by his brothers, Dennis Collins, Chris Collins, and James Collins (infant).
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at Knighton Chapel Wesleyan Church, 2122 Knighton Chapel Road, Fountain Inn, SC 29644. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at The Kennedy Mortuary from 6:00 – 8:00 PM on Tuesday, July 2, 2024.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
