A Bardstown resident, Mr. Gene Farley, age 78 passed away, Tuesday, May 27, 2025 at his residence. He was born November 12, 1946 in Marion, Kentucky to the late Jesse Franklin and Clara Jewell Holloman Farley. Gene was an Untied States Army Veteran. He was self employed, working in construction cleanup for many years. He loved to fish and hunt. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five sisters, Elizabeth Jean Farley, Betty McClure, Valley Mae Vasseur, Debra Fletcher and Bonnie Decker, and one brother, Robert Farley. He is survived by his companion, Bettie Stump, two daughters, Debra (Michael) Walters and Beverly (Steven Newton) Jackson both of Willisburg, Kentucky, one son, Dallas Stump of Willisburg, Kentucky, one sister, Sandy Fletcher of Marion, Kentucky, two brothers, Kenneth Farley and Billy Peters, both of Marion, Kentucky, 16 grandchildren and several great grandchildren also still survive. Funeral services for Mr. Gene Farley will be, Monday, June 2, 2025 at 11:00 am, at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home in Bardstown, Bro. Ray Johnson officiating. Interment will be in Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Sunday, June 1, 2025, from 4:00 pm- 8:00 pm. There will be additional visitation Monday after 8:30 am until the time of service. The Houghlin-Greenwell funeral home is in charge of arrangements.
