Gene Holloway, Sr. was born on October 22, 1952 in Delhi, La. and passed away on August 4, 2022 in West Monroe. He worked as a diesel mechanic. Gene was a man who loved his family and friends. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle with his sons and riding buddies. Gene cherished his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and his late wife, Louise.
Gene was preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Emma Holloway; his wife, Mary Louise Holloway; and his brother Donnie Holloway, Sr. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Tammy Dearman (Johnny), Gene Jr. (Cammie), Kristy Deiter (Johnny), Chad Holloway, James Holloway (Miranda), and Adam Holloway; 14 grandchildren, Nicholas Jackson, Chad Stewart, Haeleigh Stewart, Dylan Love, Austin Holloway, Emily Holloway, Megan Suggs, Kaylea Suggs, Aidan Holloway, Danielle Little, Jacob Holloway, Jamie Holloway, James Holloway, and Mamie Holloway; great-grandchildren, Haven Boykin, Elijah McMichael, Maci Little, Sawyer Little, Kynleigh Little, and Karson Holloway; brother, Willie Holloway (Tonya); sisters, Barbara King (James Sr.) and Becky Dupree (Pine) and a host of nieces and nephews.
