Gene L. Larson, age 74, of Saint Bonifacius, MN passed away November 25, 2024 at the Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia.

Gene Lonnie Larson was born October 17, 1950 in Comfrey, MN, the son of Lonnie and Emma (Neubauer) Larson. He graduated from St. James Minnesota High School in 1968 and continued his education at the University of Minnesota, St. Paul and Minnesota (Mankato) State. He received a Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts. On June 13, 1981, Gene was united in marriage to Gail Hansen at Waverly Lutheran Church in rural Trimont, MN.

Gene grew up in West Sveadahl and St. James, MN. Gene and Gail lived in St. James, Mankato and Chaska before settling in St. Bonifacius in 1993. He had a prosperous career in graphic design. His success allowed him the ability to own and operate his own graphic design business, Wildwood Design. In his free time, Gene was also an accomplished musician, singing and playing lead guitar in three bands, Seventh Flight, Showdown and Cool Change. Gene also excelled at art. He and Gail and loved to travel and had the fortune of traveling to the Black Hills, Las Vegas, Northern Minnesota, Wisconsin, Canada and Florida.

Gene was a good friend to all and had a tremendous sense of humor. He loved his family and was dearly loved in return. He will be greatly missed.

Gene was preceded in death by his parents Lonnie and Emma Larson; father-in-law and mother-in-law DuWayne and Joyce Hansen; brother-in-law Curt Greig; grandparents; aunts and uncles.

Gene is survived by his loving family: wife Gail; sister Joan Greig of Moundsview, MN; brothers-in-law Dale Hansen of Ormsby and Neil Hansen of Truman, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
