Hance – Baby Genesis Rainey Hance, 3 months old, of Jacksonville, Florida was wrapped in the arms of Jesus and called home on July 13, 2025, after a battle with Edwards Syndrome. Genesis was born on March 31, 2025, in Middleburg, Florida to her beloved parents Timothy Hayden Spencer Hance and Geriya Norma Valmir. Though her days were few her impact was infinite. Genesis was filled with light, smiles, and joy. She was always alert and happy, noticing the world around her with her curious eyes. She loved the sight of glowing toys; found calmness in the gentle soothing sound of the rain and was always delighted while in her swing. More than anything, Genesis loved her family, enjoyed their sweet touch, and was happiest with them close by.

Genesis is survived by her parents, Timothy Hayden Spencer Hance and Geriya Norma Valmir of Jacksonville, FL; brother, Daxtyn Hance; paternal grandparents, Cherie and Michael Whitty of Jacksonville, FL; paternal great grandparents, Tina and Timmy Bennett of Taylor, FL; maternal grandmother, Sherrie Soto of Macclenny, FL; maternal great grandmother, Norma Soto of Macclenny, FL; uncle, James Render of Macclenny, FL; aunts, Timberlee Hance of Jacksonville, FL, Consuelo Graham of Macclenny, FL, Christina Hayes of Macclenny, FL and Leslie McCall of Sanderson; along with several extended family members and friends.

A Celebration of Genesis's Life will be held on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at 11 am at V. Todd Ferreira Funeral Services Chapel. Interment will follow at North Prong Cemetery. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the care and direction of V. TODD FERREIRA FUNERAL SERVICES, 250 North Lowder Street, Macclenny, FL 32063 (904) 259-5700. Visit www.ferreirafuneralservices.com to sign the family's guest book.
