Genette Roxie Ray

Genette R. Ray – age 80 of Knoxville, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday August 6, 2025, at NHC Healthcare. She was a member of Meridian Baptist Church in South Knoxville and was a retired employee of St. Mary's Medical Center. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is preceded in death by her daughters, Rebecca Hutchison, Ruth Ann Ray; parents, Paul and Reba (Ridenour) Hicks; ex-husband, Clifford Hutchison; sister, Audrey (Jennie) Bradd.
She is survived by her daughter, Stacy Lane of Corryton; son-in-law, Rick Ray; grandchildren, Adam Ramsey and husband Josh Fleenor, Amanda Boling and husband Michael, Amber Hunley, Jessica Ramsey, Bryan Ray; great-grandchildren, Charles Hunley, Zeke Ramsey, Dustin Ray; sister, Arlene Burgess; brothers, Clifford Hicks and wife Debbie, Eddie Hicks and wife Katherine; several nieces and nephews along with a host of friend.
The family will receive friends on Friday, August 8, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Cooke-Campbell Mortuary. Graveside service 6 PM Friday, August 8, 2025, at Ridenour Cemetery, Andersonville, Rev. David Hardin officiating. Pallbearers will be Michael Boling, Adam Ramsey, Josh Fleenor, Randy Turner, Paul Hicks, Joey Morton. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary in Maynardville.
