Peggy Lee Ray

Peggy lived a life, marked by sacrifice, giving, and caring for others. Peggy was affectionally known as "Nana" to many.

She had a heart that wanted everyone to be "ok." She was there for anyone that needed her with a mother's or grandmother's love for not only her children, but for anyone God brought and put in her path. Although Peggy was a single mom she worked hard and sacrificed herself to care for her children and all those who called her "Nana".

Peggy is the 4th of 6 children born to Preston and Hazel Cooper. She is survived by her two children Jeremy and his wife Lori and Angie and her husband David , many grandchildren and others she loved and cared for as her own. Shante, Demarcus, Sydney, Blake, Serena, Lexi, Gavin, Joshua and Kasey and 6 Great Grand-children. Peggy also has 2 Sisters and 3 Brothers; Donna, Lareta and husband Rick, Dee and wife Bobbie, Frank and wife Lisa and Kenneth and wife Susie.

Peggy retired from the Kaufman Children's Center where she cared for children placed into Protective services.

"Nana" will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
