Geneva Cantrell, 88, of Jacksonville, Arkansas passed away May 27, 2025. She was born August 30, 1936, in Villa Rica, Georgia to the late William and Lavada McWhorter.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Arthur H. Cantrell and eight brothers and sisters. Geneva is survived by her sons, Bill Cantrell (Cindy) and Rick Cantrell (Katrina), grandchildren, Ben Cantrell, and his wife Linsey and Josh Cantrell and his wife Simone, Kendall Cantrell Akins and her husband Cody, and Mary K. Cantrell. Geneva has four great-grandchildren, Blake, Caleb, Isla, and Iris.
Geneva was a faithful member of the Bayou Meto Baptist Church. She enjoyed meeting with the “Honeybees” who enjoyed fellowshipping and eating together.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at Smith Sherwood Funeral Home (7700 Hwy 107) with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bayou Meto Baptist Church (26200 Hwy 107, Jacksonville, Arkansas 72076).
