Geneva Flewellen

Geneva Todd Flewellen 92 of Beaumont, TX; passed Nov. 05, 2024.
Services are Saturday, Nov. 16, 2024, at St. Matthew Baptist Church 2165 Gill St, Beaumont, TX. Visitation will begin 11AM until Funeral at 1PM.
Geneva Flewellen was born on January 21, 1932, in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, to Charlie Todd and Nellie Summerville. Geneva was blessed with God-fearing parents who, by example, taught Christian values, integrity, and ingenuity creating a solid family environment. She met Albert Lee Miller, and after an appropriate period of courtship. They were married, and God trust them with the nurturing of 10 children to love, raise and educate. The family settled in Cleveland, Texas.
Geneva served as Mother of the Church at St. Matthews Baptist Church. She also was the Sunday School Secretary and a faithful choir member. April 22, 2007, she served as Mistress of Ceremony for Rev. and Mrs. Terry Malvo Sr. on their 21 years of Prayerful and Dedicated Service. She was also awarded employee of the year by the City of Beaumont, for her loyal and dedicated services protecting our young children as a crossing guard on Gladys Street.
Geneva was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie Todd and Nellie Summerville, children, Terry Miller, Eddie Miller, Albert Miller, Jr. and Glenn Miller.
Her legacy of life and love will be forever etched in the hearts of her children, Vera Dixon of Silsbee, Texas, Becky Shugart of Kountze, Texas,
Edward Miller (Ann) Silsbee, Texas, Larry Miller (Angelita) of Lansing, Michigan, Katie Miller of Arkadelphia, Arkansas, Marylyn Sweatt of Beaumont Texas; 41 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; 72 great great grandchildren; her loving sister Mattie Sue Butler of Lansing, Michigan; brother Eddie Lee Summerville of Arkadelphia, Arkansas and a caravan of other relatives and numerous friends. She had an exemplary spirit in life and leaves a great legacy for her family.
