Geneva M. Godsey, born on July 1, 1930, in Clinton County, Kentucky, peacefully passed away on November 9, 2025, at the age of 95. A beloved mother and grandmother, Geneva spent her life nurturing family and friends, leaving a legacy of love and kindness in her wake.
Geneva's professional life was dedicated to housekeeping in the health care industry, particularly in nursing homes, where she touched the lives of many with her gentle spirit and warm smile. She took pride in her work and made sure everyone around her felt cared for and appreciated.
A devoted member of Mt. Repose Baptist Church, Geneva found joy and purpose in her faith community. She actively participated in a quilting group that created beautiful quilts for those in need, a testament to her generous heart and commitment to helping others.
Geneva is survived by her son, Stephen Godsey, and her cherished granddaughter, Meghan Godsey. They will forever hold dear the memories of her laughter, her wisdom, and the countless lessons she imparted.
A graveside service to honor Geneva's remarkable life will be held at Graceland Memorial Gardens on November 19, 2025, at 11:00 AM. Friends and family are invited to gather and share stories, remembering the vibrant woman she was. She will be laid to rest at 5989 Deerfield Road, Milford, OH 45150, surrounded by the beauty of nature she so loved.
As we say goodbye to Geneva, let us carry forward her spirit of compassion and kindness, ensuring her legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Geneva was preceded in death by her father Jesse McClure, mother Mary McClure, husband William Godsey and son Robert Godsey
