Geneva Mae Moore, known as Mom-Momma-MeMaw to her family, was born on April 30, 1940, to the late Gilbert and Edna Mae Taylor Keen.
She was united in marriage to Raymond Moore on May 2, 1997. Together, they made their home in Savannah, TN.
She started working in the health care system at McNairy County General Hospital and later doing home health nursing. She made life-long friends helping others. She had a lot of fun every year participating in the HEE HAW program and impersonating "Dolly Parton."
Geneva had a love for flowers that she passed on to her children. She could grow anything from a branch, twig or root system and could have conversations about flowers for hours. Another hobby was shopping, junking, thrift stores, she enjoyed her iPad games also. Geneva was a member of Meeks Grove Baptist Church.
She was happiest when everyone was at home - cooking, eating, and having family time. She always said "MeMaw" was the greatest name ever.
Her heart broke and shattered on August 11, 1994, when she lost her son James R. Shelton Jr. She is also preceded in death by her sister, Betty Parsons; brothers, Danny, Jr., Cecil, and Bo Keen.
She departed for heaven on March 5, 2026. She leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband, Raymond Moore; a son, AF Ret. MSGT Stan Wilson and Kim; daughter, Tina Rose Goodman and Tom; a daughter-in-marriage, MeLinda and Clint and family; loving her forever five grandchildren, Lauren, Randy James, Tommy, Amy and Brian; four great grandchildren, Ryder, Ivey Rose, Brayden, and Annie; a sister, Dean McEwen and family; several nieces and nephews whom she dearly loved.
Proverbs 31:25 – “She is clothed in strength and dignity”
When leaving she always told her children be safe for me while blowing kisses!
