Geneva Rose Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Wallace Family Funeral Home on Dec. 11, 2025.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Geneva Rose of Proctorville, Ohio, who was called home to her eternal resting place on December 3, 2025, at the age of 97. Born on June 20th,1928, she is known lovingly as "Mom" and "Granny" by four generations of her family,
Throughout her life, Geneva was the embodiment of strength, independence, and love, and was a woman of remarkable resilience. She had an uncanny ability to get things done, no matter the challenge. And she wasn't one to let age-or anyone- dictate what she could or couldn't do. If anything, obstacles only fueled her stubborn spirit that we all loved.
Geneva's greatest joy was her family. At each visit, you were met at the door with a hug to welcome you into her home. Geneva also cherished tending to her beloved flowers. She enjoyed walking her yard with her family, proudly showing the beautiful assortment of blooms she grew. Granny didn't just have a green-thumb--it was more like a green-hand!
Geneva is survived by her three children: Anita (White) Isaacs (Edward), Roger White, and Jeff White; her grandchildren: Tonya (Rice) Graley (Jerry), Tamara (Rice) Gilpin (James), Angie (Rice) Cummins (Jarrod), Tesia (White) Triplett (Gabriel), and Nathan White. Geneva was preceded in death by her grandson Scott Michael Donahue, who passed away in 2018. Geneva also leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion to her many great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and an extended family of nieces and nephews.
We find comfort in knowing that Geneva's spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate to know her.
To honor Geneva's wishes, there will be no funeral service. The family will hold a celebration of her life at a later time. In lieu of donations to a charity, we invite you to plant a flower in Geneva's honor and make the world a more beautiful place.
Rest In Peace Geneva, you will always be loved, missed and remembered.
