Geneva Mae Smith, Laurelville, Ohio received the gift of going home on December 24, 2025 surrounded by her children and grandchildren. Geneva was born on July 10, 1940 in Chillicothe to Noble “Dave” and Leola (Morgan) Congrove. She was preceded in death by her husband Raymond E. Smith; sons Raymond A. and Charles E. Smith; grandsons Robert and Bryan “Bub” Smith; daughters-in-law Rhonda and Deanna Smith and granddaughter-in-law Kristin Smith. She is survived by her children Rick (Sandy) Smith of Laurelville, Tom Smith of Laurelville, Jeff (Angie) Smith of Bainbridge, Bryan (Joy) Smith of Laurelville, David Smith of Adelphi and Debra (Randy) Kramer of Columbus, daughters-in-law Joanna and Jocene Smith. Geneva was a grandmother to 30; great grandmother to 72 and great, great grandmother to 8. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at the Wellman Funeral Home, Laurelville with burial to follow in Green Summit Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 11-1. The family would like to give a special thank you to Capitol City Hospice especially Heidi Schoen, Chaplin Ann Pairan, Ken, Shawnda, Vanetta and Gwen who were a great source of comfort to Geneva and to our family.
