Bryan Shawn Coakley, 64, of South Bloomingville passed away on Saturday, September 27, 2025 at his residence. He was born on April 14, 1961 at Fairfield Medical Center, Lancaster, Ohio to James E. Coakley and Norma (Brown) Coakley. He enjoyed being outdoors, working with his tractor and cutting wood. He especially enjoyed being with his kids and many nieces and nephews. He also felt he was the solution to many people’s problems. He loved life! And he loved Jesus! Surviving is his boys Austin, of Junction City, Andrew of Texas and grandson Hart of Texas. Also, his brother Tim of South Bloomingville and Joel of Logan, his sister Melanie of South Bloomingville an also sister-in-law Sheila of South Bloomingville and special nieces Tina of Cleveland and Lydia of Logan and Jennifer of Laurelville and Trinity of Laurelville, Crystal of Chillicothe and Leah of Lancaster; special nephew that were like brothers are Joey Lee and Timothy James; also, nephews Ted, Will, Blake, Trenton, Grant, and Josh, Isiah and Mike. Bryan was preceded in death by his parents James E. and Norma B. Coakley and also his brother Danny Lee Coakley. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at noon at the Wellman Funeral Home, Laurelville with burial to follow in Otterbein Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday from 10-12.
