Geneva Rae Tefft

Geneva Rae Tefft of Aurora, Colorado passed away peacefully on January 15, 2026. She was born on March 5, 1924, in Everton, Arkansas and was 101 years old at the time of her passing. She was the oldest sister of Fritz, Betty, Marylou, and Troy. They all preceded her in death as well as her beloved husband George H. Tefft Jr. and her oldest daughter Cheryl Minnehan.

Geneva earned her high school diploma from Manual high School in Denver. She was a telephone operator as a young woman and later in her married life, she was a bookkeeper. She was a masterful seamstress who also loved reading, camping, doing word puzzles, playing bridge, and other card games. She was a fantastic cook. She loved spending time, especially during the holidays, with her family.

Geneva and George had 4 daughters, Cheryl Minnehan of Elk Grove, California, Janis (Doug) Marooney of Englewood, Colorado, Cynthia (John) Rolston, of Littleton, Colorado, and Nancy Hancock of Littleton, Colorado. Geneva has also been blessed with 8 grandchildren: Scott, Lorien, Jennifer, Catherine, Erin, Nicholas, Elaine, and Stefanie, 12 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-children, and many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life for Geneva will be held at Horan and McConaty, 11150 East Dartmouth Avenue (southwest corner of Dartmouth Avenue and Parker Road) on Wednesday, February 4, 2026 at 10:00 am.
