Genevieve "Zena" Aiuto passed away surrounded by love on February 22, 2023.
Genevieve was born to Joseph and Angela Fodera on May 6, 1932 in Detroit. She married the love of her life, Joseph, and together they raised two wonderful children. Genevieve was a fiercely independent woman, but she was also a very thoughtful and giving person. Her family was the most important thing to her. She loved to crochet, cook, and she loved baking holiday cookies. Genevieve was always adamant that she had a clean house, and she kept it that way. One of her fondest memories was the 90th surprise birthday party that her family put together for her. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Cherished mother to Marie (Paolo) and Frank (Paola); beloved grandmother to Giuseppe, Paul (Giulia), Joseph, Leonardo (Samantha), and Dominic (Madison); loved great grandmother to Adriano, Matteo, Milania, Melina.
Joined in heaven by her loving parents Joseph and Angela, and siblings the late Angelo, (Frances) the late Catherine (late Sebastian ), the late John (late Rose), the late Frank, the late Joseph (late Judith), and brothers and sister in laws the late Peter & Mary, the late Catherine & Mario, the late Joseph (Jenny). Proud Aunt to many nieces and nephews.
