Genevra A. Brines passed away on January 19, 2023 in Beaverton, Oregon. She was born in Vancouver, Washington, in 1941, to Andrew and Genevra Fornadley and the only daughter of 4 children.

Genevra married Wayne A. Brines in 1961. They lived in Portland until his death in 2001. She worked for the Beaverton School District for 22 years as a Teacher's Aide in several schools. In addition to several cruises, Genevra loved to go camping and travel with her husband and son throughout her life, making it to over half of the US States. After her stroke in 2005, Genevra continued outings with her son, rarely missing a Sunday. She loved visiting the mall, going to movies, attending holiday craft fairs and touring shows/musicals, watching the Blazers, and visiting family/friend functions.

Genevra is survived by her Son, Michael Brines, Brother John Fornadley, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers Andrew and Frank Fornadley.

A Service will be held starting at 12pm, Friday, Feb 10th at Springer and Son in Aloha, Oregon. This will be followed by interment at Crescent Grove Cemetery in Tigard, Oregon, followed by a Reception.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Genevra's name may be made to HousecallProviders.org in Portland, Oregon. Housecall Providers provided her in-house medical coverage for the past several years, as well as comforting Hospice care during her final month.
