Genivia Garcia DeLeon, affectionately known by her loved ones as "Gigi" or "Sissy," went to be with the Lord on October 22, 2025, in Noatak, Alaska. She was born on November 15, 1978, in Del Rio, Texas, to Pedro Garcia and Diana Trevino.
Gigi's life was a beautiful reflection of love, laughter, and devotion. She was a proud and caring mother whose world revolved around her children-Kordell, Tristen, and Kailee DeLeon-whom she cherished more than anything. Her gentle heart and radiant smile brought warmth to everyone she met.
She is survived by her parents, Mr. Pedro Garcia and Mrs. Diana Trevino; her fiancé, Leonel Lara; her children, Kordell, Tristen, and Kailee; and her brothers and sisters, Pedro Garcia Jr., Ignacio Galvan, Zachary Garcia, Debbie Garcia, Taylor Garcia, and Brittany Garcia. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, including a niece with whom she shared a special and inseparable bond.
Gigi had a zest for life and found joy in the simple things-spending time with her family, caring for her beloved dog, and exploring new places whenever she could. She loved traveling and had a curious spirit that drew her to true crime stories and documentaries in her quiet moments. Her compassionate nature, sense of humor, and unwavering love for her family will forever remain in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her.
Though her time on Earth was far too short, Gigi's memory will continue to shine brightly through the lives she touched. Her family and friends take comfort in knowing she is now at peace, surrounded by eternal light and love.
"Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us every day-unseen, unheard, but always near, still loved, still missed, and very dear."
