Genowefa Kopec Obituary

Publish in a newspaper

With profound sadness and boundless love, we announce that Genowefa Kopec, age 85, of Orland Park, Illinois, passed away peacefully on September 26th, 2025. Born in Poland on March 8th, 1940, Genowefa's life journey was one of resilience, devotion, and unwavering love for her family and faith.

Genowefa was the cherished wife of the late Stefan Blaszczynski and the late Marian Kopec, both of whom she loved deeply and remembered with affection throughout her life. Her legacy continues through her beloved children: Christine (Steven) Garbacik, Justine (Edmund) Skwirut, Wesley Blaszczynski, and Elizabeth (John) Buckley. Genowefa's role as a grandmother was one of her greatest joys, and she leaves behind adoring grandchildren: Cynthia (Zachary), Renee, Samantha (Luke), Nicole, Jake, Emie, and Maia. Her love also extended to her great-grandchildren: Addison, Anastasia, Sophia, Cameron, and Makenna, who will carry the memory of her kindness and strength into the future.

Genowefa's faith was the cornerstone of her existence. As a devout Catholic, she found solace and strength in her beliefs, which guided her through the various chapters of her life. Her commitment to her faith was evident in the way she lived-full of grace, compassion, and generosity.

Her passion for gardening was more than a hobby; it was a reflection of her nurturing spirit. The beauty she cultivated in her garden was akin to the love and care she provided to her family. Her home was always a place of warmth and welcome, with the garden's blooms symbolizing the flourishing relationships she fostered with those she held dear.

The time Genowefa spent with her grandchildren was filled with laughter, learning, and love. She imparted wisdom, shared stories of her own life, and created cherished memories that her grandchildren will treasure forever. Her influence has shaped their lives in countless ways, and her presence will be deeply missed.

Genowefa's kind heart and open arms will be remembered by all who had the privilege to know her. Her ability to express tender love and her everlasting selflessness will never be forgotten. She was a devoted wife, a nurturing mother, a doting grandmother, and a loyal friend.

As we bid farewell to Genowefa Kopec, we celebrate a life beautifully lived and a heart that gave so generously. Her spirit will continue to guide us, and her memory will remain a beacon of love and family unity. We take solace in knowing that she is now at peace, reunited with her beloved Stefan and Marian. Genowefa's life was a testament to the power of love, and her impact will endure for generations to come.
