Geoff D. Hetke, age 48, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, June 14, 2024, at Mayo Clinic Health Systems Hospital in Bloomer, WI.
Geoff was born on August 12, 1975, in Bloomer to David and Barbara (Conrad) Hetke. He graduated from Menomonie High School in 1993.
Geoff worked as a machinist at EDI, and a cement truck driver for Haas Redi Mix and Stelter Redi Mix. Geoff’s hands were always busy, he loved to work on anything and everything. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding his motorcycle and side by side, playing darts, grilling out and spending time with his family and friends. His sense of humor and loving personality will always be remembered.
Geoff is survived by his father: David (Marlene) Hetke of Chippewa Falls; mother: Barb Crisp of Bloomer; son: Jax Hetke of Bloomer; step daughter: Alijah Shafer of Chippewa Falls; fiancé: Kristy Prill of Bloomer; brother: Scott (Bette) Hetke of Cornell; sister: Laura (Earl) Henning of Chippewa Falls, Tara Hemmingson of Eau Claire and Jenny Prill of Eau Claire; mother-in-law: Diana Prill of Eau Claire; nieces and nephews: Cody (Molly Begley) Hetke, Alexander Henning, Mykol Pree, Amiri Prill, Trenton Lund, Nevaeh Lund, Zoey Hetke and Addison Hemmingson; great-nephew: Henry Jacob Hetke; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his nephew: Jacob Hetke.
Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 PM on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer. Private family services and burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the family.
