Geoffrey William Conrad, 72, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away peacefully on October 14, 2025.
Born on February 5, 1953, Geoffrey charted his own course in life, collecting stories and experiences along the way. He proudly served in the United States Navy.
Those who knew Geoff — or Conrad, as many knew him — remember his big personality, love of a good meal, and the way every story seemed to circle back to the people he cared about. After serving in the Navy, he completed his nursing degree and dedicated his career to caring for others as a nurse.
He was a lifelong fan of the Cleveland Browns and Cleveland Guardians, and looked forward to watching every game, every season. He also loved taking trips to enjoy fried clams along the shores of Lake Erie. His booming voice could be heard from miles away.
He was proud of his heritage and loved exploring and sharing stories about ancestors from Scotland and beyond.
Geoffrey is survived by his children Lindsey Conrad, Amelia Alhashimi, Alec Conrad, and Alyse Conrad. He will be missed by all who knew him and shared in some of his many adventures.
A private service will be held for close family members. In lieu of flowers, the family invites friends to honor Geoffrey’s memory through acts of kindness or by sharing a favorite story in his name.
