George A. McBryde age 61, a resident of Ranchos de Taos, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family February 27, 2026.
He was preceded in death by his father-in-law Glenn Smith; sister-in-law Corina King; godfather Victor Esquibel; plus other relatives.
George was a truck driver for most of his adult life, he recently retired from the County of Taos, Solid Waste Department. He was a jokester and loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 26 yrs. Tressa McBryde; children Logan McBryde, Jimmy McBryde (Carmen Robbins), Nola McBryde and Megan King; Tom Suazo (Kristyna Martinez Vigil), Nick Lujan, Leo Aragon and Ruben Salazar, who he considered as his own children; siblings Joanne Bouchard, Josie McBryde, Karen McBryde and Johnny McBryde; in-laws Louisa Smith and Joe Smith (Jozette); godmother Stella Esquibel; and many other loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Services are pending at this time.
