George Allan Abel

George Allan Abel, born October 30, 1937, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and adventure. George lived his life with a full heart, an easy smile, and an undeniable zest for the moments that made life worth living.

George was a devoted father to his four children: Glenda Flores and her husband Mark, Sharon Abel, William Abel, and Marie Smith and her husband Ryan Smith. He was a proud grandfather to 12 grandchildren and a great-grandfather to 12 great-grandchildren, each of whom brought him immense pride and happiness.

He was a man who treasured his friendships and found true joy in simple pleasures, especially boating. Being on the water was the place he felt most at home, and his fondest memories were spent out on the boat, sharing stories, laughter, sunshine and friends. George was a Christ follower and loved being part of the Kings County Boat Club, Lions Club, and the United States Marines. He was always ready for the next adventure. George was blessed to find love later in life, Carol, whose companionship brought him warmth and happiness.

George is reunited in heaven with the mother of his children, Sharon, and his longtime girlfriend Lizette, who preceded him in death. The comfort of knowing they are together again brings peace to those who loved him.

George will be remembered for his humor, his generous spirit, and the joy he carried with him wherever he went. His legacy lives on in the family he cherished, the friends who adored him, and every ripple across the water where he found his greatest peace.
