George Bert "Bubbin" Allain

1948 - 2024

George Bert "Bubbin" Allain passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at the age of 76. He was a retired social worker and Director of the Iberville Parish Substance Abuse Center, resident of Plaquemine and native of Port Allen, LA. Bert highly valued his service in the Army Reserves and obtained the rank of Captain. A memorial visitation will be held at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Plaquemine on Thursday, September 19, 2024, from 8:30am until Mass of Christian Burial at 10am. Bert is survived by his wife of 38 years, Patrice Pandy Allain; children, Christopher George Allain, and Morgan Allain Windham and husband Matthew; grandchildren, Claudia Allain, Cully Allain, Kairi Windham, Gannon Windham and Ellie Windham; sister, Ethlyn Allain White; nieces and nephews, Allain Thomas and husband Scot, Scott White and husband Stacey, Laura White, John White and wife Moira, and Alicia Smith and husband Matt; and numerous great nieces and great nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Bert and Bernadine Allain; and brother-in-law, Robert White. Bert enjoyed running and could be seen all over town with a four-legged friend.
