Opelousas -- George Larry Andrus died on Friday, February 28, 2025. He was a resident of Opelousas. He was preceded in death by his parents: Grady Andrus and Jeri Andrus, his sisters Jerilyn Shamroy and Anna Belle Mansfield. He is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins who cherished their time with him.
He was a graduate of Opelousas Senior High and then attended the USL where he studied Geography. He worked as an analyst at the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency for 33 years.
Visiting hours will be observed on Saturday, March 8, 2025, from 10:00am-12:00pm followed by service at Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas. Interment in the Holy Sepulcher Mausoleum. Words of Comfort to the family may be expressed at www.sibillefuneralhomes.com. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas.
