George Michael Archer, age 64 of Grove, Oklahoma, passed away on Saturday July 26, 2025. He was surrounded by the love of his wife and family as he won the battle against a long-term illness.
"Mike was born on March 2, 1961, in Joplin, Missouri, to John and Velma Archer. He began his education in the Joplin school system and, after moving several times during his youth, completed his schooling at Center Senior High School in Kansas City, Missouri."
Mike married Judy Archer in his father’s office on December 17, 2011, she survives him. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his father, John Archer (Pricilla Miller) of Galena, Kansas, siblings Tom (DeeDee) Archer of Quapaw, Oklahoma, Charles Archer (Rebecca Loper) of Chetopa, Kansas, and Susan Archer (Martin Hagedon) of Granby, Missouri. Mike also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, friends and other extended family members.
Meeting “Uncle Mike” was a memorable experience. He greeted every person with a joke and a smile. The stories are legendary. His loss will leave a large hole in many hearts.
He was greeted with love and joy at heaven’s gate by his mother and both maternal and paternal grandparents along with a couple of his favorite dogs and horses.

Celebration of Life services will be 11:30 a.m., Saturday, August 9, 2025 at the Riverton House of Prayer in Riverton, KS.
