Stephen Arthur “Steve” Morrison passed away peacefully in his sleep on February 26, 2026, at the age of 77, in Langley, Oklahoma. Born on April 21, 1948, in Chelsea, Oklahoma, Steve grew up in Afton, where he graduated from Afton High School. He later continued his education at NEO A&M College in Miami, earning his associate degree.
In 1990, Steve began his career as the owner and operator of Morrison Dock Construction. Through decades of dedication, craftsmanship, and integrity, he built a reputation that earned the respect and trust of his community. Beyond his work, Steve devoted more than 20 years of service to the Langley Fire Department, proudly retiring as Captain. His commitment to helping others and protecting his community was a defining part of his life.
On July 19, 1974, Steve married the love of his life, Christine (Lewis) Morrison, in Miami, Oklahoma. Together they shared 51 years of unwavering partnership built on love, kindness, and mutual respect. Family was Steve’s greatest joy, and he leaves behind a legacy rooted deeply in that love.
He is survived by his wife Christine of the home, his son, Gary Morrison and wife Vanessa; his daughter, Michele McFarland; and his treasured grandchildren: Keith Morrison and his wife Amanda, Jeremy Morrison, Noah McFarland, Kyah Morrison, and Kane Morrison. He was also a proud great grandfather to Rylee and Ryker Witt. Steve shared a close bond with his brother, Tim Morrison, and held a special place in his heart for his niece, Tomi McFarland, and her husband Roger.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Audrey (Judd) Morrison, and his sister, Pam Countryman.
As we remember Steve, we honor a man whose life was marked by devotion—to his family, his friends, and the community he served so faithfully. His kindness, work ethic, and generosity will continue to inspire all who knew him.
Visitation will be held on March 3, 2026, from 10:00 AM until 5:00 PM at Luginbuel South Grand Lake Funeral Home in Langley, Oklahoma.
