On this day of memory, I send my deep condolences to the Badeau family on the loss of your brother, George. I recently visited my brother, Brad, at Mt Auburn only to discover that George has passed. I enjoyed my visits and talks with George through the years - tours of gardens in Cambridge, Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, the BPL, Arboretum and Old South Church. We shared an interest in antiques and history. He loved art/architecture and was quite knowledgeable about many things of interest to him. I lost contact with him when I moved to Florida because I'm not on social media but George kept the connection through my daughter as they shared travel adventures and more stories about her uncle. I will always remember George's humor, especially the afternoon we tried to find Brad's gravestone beneath two feet of snow and ice one snowy January 21st - Brad's birthday. And his kindness in giving me the gift of his time and stories about my brother through the years. I will treasure the beautiful pink rock from the beach on St John's all the days of my life, George. May you rest in peace.

George's life ended far too soon. He was an interesting person - intellectually curious and knew a lot about a lot of different things. He will be missed.

Good bye. You were always and forever my little brother and just like Daddy, you were curious about everything around your world. I´ll never forget pretending to be sick so I could stay home from school when Mom & Dad brought you home so I could see you first!
