George L. Blankenship was born on December 7, 1945, in Nacogdoches, the son of George and Novice Blankenship. He passed away on Sunday, October 30. 2022 in Dallas, Texas.
George was raised to know many things. He was taught to be a family man and love the Lord. He also learned to work hard or what he wanted. He was blessed with the addition of his children, Kenneth, David and Kathy and loved them dearly. When the grandchildren were added, he found out a new level of love for family. He adored Dusty, Michael, Taylor, Tanner and Madeline and enjoyed seeing the joy that children portray.
George worked driving a truck until his retirement when he was able to spend quiet time and watch as his children prosper and grandchildren grow. During his time of being a truck driver, he learned to appreciate the beauty of the land and saw many spectacular places along the way.
George is survived by his children, Cathy Myers and husband, Wesley, Kenneth Blankenship and wife, Tabatha and David Blankenship and wife, Lesa; grandchildren, Dusty Blankenship, Michael Blankenship, Taylor Myers, Tanner Myers and Madeline Clark; and his brother, James Winston Blankenship.
He is preceded in death by his parents and wife, Jan Blankenship.
