MSgt. George Michael Brooks, affectionately known as "Mike," passed away on September 27, 2025, at the age of 81. Born on January 24, 1944, in Marietta, Georgia, Mike lived a life dedicated to service, compassion, and duty.
Mike served for 25 years in the United States Air Force as a Mental Health Technician, where he provided invaluable support to countless individuals navigating challenges in their lives. Following his distinguished military career, he continued to serve his community as a Mail Carrier for the United States Postal Service. His dedication did not end there; he was also a committed Minister, spreading the teachings of the Baptist Faith and offering guidance and support to many in need.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Elaine Brooks, and their children. He is also cherished by his sister, along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom carry forward his legacy of love and service.
Mike is predeceased by his parents and a daughter, whose memories remain a testament to the enduring bonds of family and love. His life was marked not only by his professional achievements but also by the warmth he brought into the lives of those around him.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital or to the American Heart Association.
