George Michael Brown

George Michael Brown, 62, of Washington, died Thursday, January 29, 2026. He was born June 4, 1963, to the late Freddie and Marlene McKenzie Brown. He was a graduate of Washington High School and went on to work as a nurse at George Washington Hospital in Washington D.C. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church of Washington. Surviving are sisters, Sheree Porter of Washington and Dawn Evans of Washington D.C.; nephews, Rico Porter and Michael Sutton; and nieces, Dawn Sutton and Mia Funderburk. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, in the Piatt and Barnhill Funeral Home, 420 Locust Avenue, Washington. All other services will be private.
